Press Release Summary: In celebration of Black History Month, the Black Writers\'
Guild, MD will present the Afrocentric Books Expo in the Mall at Prince Georges on
Saturday, February 23, 2008. We will have exhibitors consisting of young poets,
novelists, and many others. Enjoy various literary entertainment, and buy books for
the entire family!

Press Release Body: The 2008 Afrocentric Book Expo is the third event sponsored as a
joint effort with Karibu and The Black Writers\' Guild, MD in the Mall of Prince
George\'s center court. It will showcase African-American literary talent throughout
the day, with author book signings and free workshops and entertainment. The growth
in black literature has not been a natural progression but is the result of a long
and arduous struggle by Africans and their descendants to reclaim their culture from
the impeding forces of racism.
